Our story

It began in a coffee shop. My husband and myself were sharing a bagel with our firstborn, 7 months at the time. While catching crumbs and wiping up cream cheese, through grabbing drinks from baristas and the hub-bub of a busy restaurant, inspiration struck.

I asked my husband, “What if there was a website people could trust like a friend? Trust for wholesome products, for homemade and local goods, for herbs and teas, kitchen essentials and linens , and things and ideas homemakers really NEED and are interested in. And what if those items came in a subscription box, bringing joy and a helping hand to whatever season your home might be entering?

We both loved the idea, and set out to make it a reality. Life, however, set out to slow us down. Raising our firstborn, a miscarriage, and the arrival of our second child, perfectly complete with cleft lip and palette, slowed our roll a little bit, but didn’t stop our train! Putting subscription boxes on a momentary hold, we went forward with a custom blended tea business.

Every mountain climb begins with a single foothold, and every great cup of tea must be brewed! So, since that idea in 2023, Homemakers Haven has been brewing, adding new and exciting flavors with which to serve and bless our customers.
